West Virginia University Center for Neuroscience Summer Internships
West Virginia University Center for Neuroscience has 12 Summer Undergraduate Research internships. Accepted students will have the opportunity to participate in an intensive and enjoyable research experience. The WVU Center for Neuroscience supports broad-based research across over 40 laboratories housed in modern research facilities. The center offers state-of-the-art technical capabilites and techniques such as genomics, non-linear optical microscopy, transgenic animal and microarray facilities, three-dimensional tissue analysis, and human neuroimaging using high field MRI and combined PET/CT imaging. The SURI program will run from May 28 - July 29, 2013. Online applications will be accepted from students currently enrolled at a college or university in the U.S. who have completed their 2nd or 3rd year. Preference will be givn to those with strong background in biology, neuroscience, physics, chemistry, engineering, or psychology, with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants are required to submit their curriculum vitae, official college transcripts, and two letters of recommendation. Application deadline is February 1, 2013, with the research awards to be announced as early as March 1, 2013.
