Sigma Xi Student Research Day - Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 2014 Louis Stoke Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Research Experience

University of Alabama 2014 Undergraduate Research Participation Program (NSF Supported)

The University of Alabama is pleased to announce their 2014 Undergraduate Research Participation (SURP) program, support by the NSF for students (preferably juniors, who will be seniors in the 2014-2015 academic year) who plan to attend graduate school in chemistry or a related field. Each student who is chosen to participate will receive a $5,000 stipend plus on-campus housing in furnished apartment during the 10-week program (May 25 - August 2, 2014). NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU): Molecular and Biochemical Analysis of Proteins, Department of Biochemistry, Purdue University

The Department of Biochemistry at Purdue University is now accepting applications for a NSF sponsored REU program in the summer of 2014. This is a ten week program that runs from May 27 to August 1, 2014. (Please note that program dates cannot be modified.)  Campus housing and round-trip transportation to West Lafayette, IN plus a $5,000 stipend. You must be an undergraduate who has completed at least 4 semesters of college and have at least one semester of college remaining after the summer of 2014. You need a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Unviersity of Kansas Undergraduate Summer Program - Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry

The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Kansas offers a ten-week program (May 27 to August 1, 2014) for undergraduate students to participate in paid laboratory research. Students will perform independent research under the supervision of faculty members, applying chemical principles to problems involving drugs and related molecules. Undergraduates who have completed their junior year by the beginning of the summer are encouraged to apply, but highly qualified sophomore students will be considered. Participants will receive a competitive stipend plus room and board costs. Applications received before February 14, 2014 will receive priority consideration. The University of Southern California's Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences are soliciting applications to their summer undergraduate research program. This is a eight-week (June 15 - August 9, 2014) program and is an opportunity for students to conduct research in residence in their Chemistry Department. Housing, student health insurance, and travel costs are covered by the department and students will also receive a stipend.
