Summer REU The College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering at the University of Akron
The College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering at the University of Akron will be offering a competitive summer research experience (REU) program for the Summer of 2015, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, The University of Akron and corporate sponsors. Students will participate in an 11-week internship to investigate a fundamental question within the broad disciplines of polymer science and polymer engineering, including chemistry, physics, characterization, and biomaterials. These interns will take part in research and career devleopment activities, discussions outline their research progress and visits to regional companyies. The summer will culminate with an oral or poster presentation of each intern's research results at the Northeast Ohio NSF-REU Undergraduate Research Conference. Stipends will be $7,000 which will include $2,000 to be used for on-campus housing. The program begins on Tuesday, May 26, 2014 and will end Friday, August 7, 2015.
